Disposable sanitary wear can cause so much damage and is bad for our environment. They are either going to end up in landfill or if flushed away, then in the sea. They can take years to decompose because of the plastic in them and not only that but once they eventually start to break down all those little bits are continuing to pollute our environment. They usually contain nasty chemicals too.
- Cloth pads are just like disposables, except you can wash and reuse them several times, therefore saving money and creating less waste.
The Night Pad is our largest pad! It is best suited for your nights and heavy flow days. Additional length and width at the back of the pad provide better coverage when lying down.
These are a great step into ditching the disposables. A reusable cloth pad is certainly better to use than a disposable one. They measure 30cm length x 7cmwidth when closed. Use this pad with the plain side towards your skin. The PUL will last aprox. 75 - 100 washes, or 3 -5 years, depending on how frequently a pad is used and how well it is cared for.
With every Night pad you purchase, you have contributed 1 cloth pad for a girl in India through the Eco Femme pad for pad programme.
